I'm writing this post walking on the treadmill. I finally bought a treadmill desk attachment. There's so much work that I do on my computer that I have a hard time dedicating time to walking. So, no excuses now, I've got a solution. I'll be able to plan our school week out, menu plan, put together my grocery list, and so much more.
We've been spending our Sundays at basketball. Yesterday was the last day and we didn't go, ha. It's been rainy and neither of them felt like playing, so we skipped. There are only two teams in the league this time and they don't get a break. We might try a different location next season.
We celebrated Valentine's Day with cupcakes
treats
sweet notes
and fish tacos
Funny, or not so funny story. Ginger jumped up on the counter and stole 3 cupcakes (before they were frosted). That stinker is always stealing food from the counter. We push them to the middle and she finds a way, every single time. So now we call her cupcake since she stole these three plus the one from crumble a few months back.
I made Italian paninis for lunch one day. They were a hit!
I finally convinced Sterling to play phase 10 with me. One of my favorite childhood games. We've since convinced the boys to join us. We've made it a nightly habit and it's a lot of fun.
A little health update. I got my colonoscopy results back and nothing bad is going on, so good news there. But, I think I'm going to start keeping a food diary because I still have a "burning belly" occasionally. It's more annoying than anything, but I will figure it out.
My next update isn't so good. I had a dermatology appointment and had a concerning spot that was biopsied. It came back as basal cell. I had a gut feeling I had it, but what surprised me was the spot. I had concerns of some other spots, but they were "maturing" spots. There are two spots of concern. One next to my ear (in the picture the red spot) and then another one next to my hairline on my forehead. I didn't have the forehead spot biopsied, just the ear. I've always picked at this spot for the past year, so I went back to my photos to see when it first appeared. 2023. It's been around for 2 years! I go back in March to get the Mohs Surgery to remove the cancel cells.
My doctor also froze a few areas on my face as she also found some precancerous spots.
It's time we start taking our health a lot more serious. I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and now basal cell. We're also thinking of moving to be closer to family.
