Chit Chat

Hey, friends!  There's still no word on when our close date is on the new home.  So to eliminate the stress of the unknown, we are going to pack up and go according to the first date we were given and what everyone is working towards.  If anything, we'll have to stay a week longer in the hotel and spend Christmas in a hotel.  Let's pray the first date works out!

I think I need to stop planning things.  Remember last week when I created the kids 3 weeks of work to finish the year off.  Well, we finished last weeks, but the next two we are going to scrap. Not because they didn't work, but because so much unexpected is happening and we're taking more trips than planned up to VA.  While we take a break from our main curriculum schedule, we will be using our supplemental work where they are still learning concepts, but they won't need as much of my time.  We took their work up to VA last week with us and it worked well.  Oh well, maybe I'll try again in the new year.  At least it doesn't take long to create.

We're going to start packing this week.  I need to get most of it done because next week we are going back to VA to do the blue tape walk through and home orientation.  After we get back from that trip, we'll have two days and then we load the truck.  It's coming quick.  Which is why I want everything packed except the TV's, beds, and table.

This will be my kitchen.  I don't love the color of the cabinets, but am glad they are wood and not laminate.  My first project might be to paint them white, or add some drawers, or update the pantry, or or or!  I'm so excited to work in it though!  I need to measure the island, it's massive, the biggest I've ever seen.

We're doing good emptying our measly cabinet that holds pantry items.  I have four meals left to make and most everything will be empty, including the freezer.  It's a good thing it's cool outside, now I can take our condiments and they'll be fine.  That'll save some money.  I'm also creating a grocery list where I'll place an order a few days before we get there and have the groceries delivered the night we arrive.  I've never done grocery delivery, but I think it might just be worth it this time.
Just some easy meals to get us through unpacking and setting up the house.

I'm really excited for this move.  Having more space will be so nice.

Have a wonderful day!
