Life Lately

Hey, friends!  I can't believe we're in the last week of November.  I'm excited for December.  There's a lot going on and I can't wait! Hint...I'm not putting up a Christmas tree, which could only mean one thing...we're movingšŸ”

We had a successful trip a week ago and are headed back this week.  Ask me how I feel about paying for an overpriced blank home?  Ugh, I'm just praying the appraiser going in will have a few senses and make the right call on the price.  But, I am excited to make the home our own.

The dogs did so well on the trip

The kids and I took the dogs to the dog park one chilly morning.  Lulu didn't last 5 minutes before she wanted to leave.  Bella had a blast chasing the ball with Xander.

I've also created our Elves schedule.  I figured with so much change, I should keep one thing that brings excitement each morning.  Do you have an elf that visits your home?  My kids are in it for the fun now, but it's still fun.  We'll see how fun it's actually going to be with moving, ha!  I may have lost my mind.

Because of all of our busyness lately, I've had to rely on the kids doing school more independently.  I'm still here of course to help or guide them, but, we're on the road to independence in our school work.  They've done seven days so far, and it went really well.  I made out a schedule for each of them, so it'll be easier to see what they need to do each day.
I've actually done this back when they were in 3rd and 4th grade.  It worked well then also, but sometimes a math lesson takes more than one day.  Which is okay, but when I plan ahead like this, it's a lot of work to edit it.  So, I'm going to try and only do weekly schedules to allow easier changes, if needed.  Which is why I stopped before, but have always wanted to come back to it.  So, we're giving it another try.

We have three weeks if all goes well with the house closing and three weeks of school left until next year.  I'm excited for our break, even though we should be unpacking boxes and setting up rooms.  It will be nice to have a planning break.

Have a wonderful day!

  1. Awesomeness Sista... hopefully your family had a Blessed Thanksgiving and can’t wait to see pictures of your new home. Where are you moving to?
