Catching Up

Hey, friends!!  It's been 10.5 months since I last posted.  I'm recommitting to blogging again now that things have settled down and the kids aren't as dependent on me with their school work.  I've created a schedule through December, which I've never done before, so hopefully it will be easier for me stay on track.  For the rest of October, I'll post twice a week.

We had so many changed this year.  We're still figuring out what's going to be happening next, so I'll wait to share until that's decided.  I will say that we sold all, but not our beds and Ikea shelves.  Some things we regret, but most we don't.  We canceled our home build process, ordered an RV to live in full-time, but now are living in North Carolina.  Oh life...why are you so hard to figure out?!

January

We started January with Xander taking first place in a Ninja Warrior Competition.  He had improved his skills and speed so much.  Such a proud moment.

We also had a few days of snow in South Carolina.  When you live in the south, you create cold weather gear from what you have.

We went on a lot of nature walks for school

February

Our school break included a trip to Great Wolf Lodge.

On Feb 25th we had the pool out and swimming.  So crazy!

March

Sterling turned 10.  We went to the zoo on her birthday this year.

I loved this sign as we were hunting for RV supplies

April

Xander turned 11.  His birthday was just what he wanted.  He's always wanted to buy whatever he wanted as long as he could hold it until he got to the cash register.

We took an impromptu trip to FL to have a bit of fun.

Before going to Gatorland, Sterling was obsessed with gators.  After, not so much, haha!

May

We ended our school year with two beach trips

minute-to-win-it games

there were 20 games and such a blast!

And finished with our state reports.  The school year was filled with so many hands on activities.  I was surprised as I was looking through all the photos, because I never think we do so much.

I turned 42.  Sterling made sure I had the most special day.

June

We moved to North Carolina and the kids started basketball right away.  They loved the season!

July

I had a lot of school prepping to do.  I actually look forward to the prep work.  It's exciting to plan our weeks out and see what we're going to do.

Xander started 6th grade.

Sterling started 5th grade.

August

We took another impromptu trip...this time a 5 week one.  I'll share more from that next week.

We found some awesome playgrounds

September

We started back to school at our desks and they kids loved my sugar rush/crash treats for them, ha!

Dog Man Bingo night was the most fun.

October

We finished quarter one in school and took a fall break to the mountains.  It was beautiful and just what I needed.  A break was just what I needed.

The dogs loved the fireplace

I'm so glad we brought scattergories...everyone loved it.  I've been trying for 2 years to get them to like this game.

We took so many trips and made a ton of memories.  One reason why we love to homeschool.  The freedom to explore when we want.  We still had some stressful moments thanks to all of our moving and the logistics to get where we are now.  It's been a busy year, and we're not done yet.

THAT COUNTS.

Happy Monday!
