Good morning. Today I'm going to finish our post to catch up on what's been keeping me away from this space.
I left off yesterday with February, so today we'll start in March. At the beginning of the month, Nick had to take work trip to FL so the kids, dogs, and I tagged along. How could we say no to spending a week in sunny Florida?!
We had a great time. We went to the trampoline park, beach, zoo, and got to spend a few days with my parents. The kids love seeing their Nana and Papa!
We also celebrated Sterling turning 9. This girl is the sweetest with a big heart.
She also had a dance recital (and another in May with the same costume, so we'll just use the same picture)
In April Xander turned 10. This boy is a firecracker! He loves big.
The girlies had their first spa day together. Looking fresh is my favorite look for them, ha!
So many park days in May. The weather has been perfect to be outside.
The kids showed off their skills in Ninja Warrior. Xander took third place in February in a competition he competed in. This little gym has been the perfect place for him to burn off energy and for Sterling to build upper body strength.
This weekend Sterling has a gymnastics expo. She's so excited for it. We're excited to see all that's she's learned this year. It was hard not being able to go in weekly and watch the kids in their activities, but it's been that much more special seeing their end of year performances. If your kids did activities, were you allowed to go in and watch?
This summer the kids will be in Tumbling and Ninja Warrior again. In the fall, I'm not allowing them to take so many activities. It took so much of our time that it didn't leave much time for anything else. Two activities and that will be it in the fall. This school year Sterling had 6 hours of activities a week and Xander had 4. I know many families do many more hours, but, it doesn't work so well for us. I'd like to keep the stress level down. You with me?!
